Who is The Wee Greek Baker?
I’m Io, the passionate Greek behind the scenes. Having moved to the UK in 2011 I moved from Edinburgh to the beautiful Isle of Skye. Growing up, cooking and baking were always close to my heart, but over time, my love for baking blossomed into a full-blown passion. There’s something incredibly rewarding about transforming simple ingredients into delightful creations that bring joy to those around me. Cakes hold a special place in my heart, and I firmly believe that everyone deserves scrumptious treats, regardless of dietary restrictions. That’s why, here at The Wee Greek Baker, I’m dedicated to crafting delicious cakes without compromising on taste. In 2026 I opened the café in Broadford, where I now bake everything myself each day.
Despite spending over a decade in various roles in hotels, including time spent in busy kitchens, I realised my true calling lay in vegan baking. Drawing from my years of experience, I’ve crafted a unique fusion of culinary expertise and plant-based goodness.
